Very special thanks go to each and every one of you who participated in the first ever ESA Hope for Heroes National Event November 7 — 14, 2009; I believed in you and your abilities to joint venture together with other groups in your communities to honor our military personnel and their families. WOW...what great reports I’ve received all year long with such unique and varied projects and programs that will continue until our troops come home! You make me so proud to be your International Council President, it is through your actions that we make the world a better place — I am so grateful for your efforts!

Have you seen the March ESA News? I’m excited to announce our next big project to be held throughout the country and in Australia. I’m asking each chapter to take the same enthusiasm and tenacity you showed this fall and hold a huge food drive in your communities and report your success to Laura Gnewuch, IC Philanthropic/Hands-On chair and watch our totals grow on the Virtual Food Drive section; choose ‘check the totals’ and watch our thermometer rise as we strive to reach our goal of $10,000!

Can you believe the spring conventions are just around the corner? Where has the time gone? As you gather for your conventions, please take time to celebrate all your truly great accomplishments! Before you know it we’ll be joining together in Minnesota for our 63rd International Council Convention, on behalf of the IC Executive and MN State Council, I invite each of you to “Playin’ in the Land Of Lakes” July 12 — 17, 2010 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Check out the agenda under the convention page and find out all the exciting things planned for the week as we celebrate good friends, good works, and good times!
