Irrevocable Endowment Agreement Program The Foundation established the Perpetual Endowment Scholarship Program as a means to accommodate those people interested in furthering the purpose and goals of the ESA Foundation. The Scholarship Endowment program was established with a minimum amount of $5000 to become endowed. A Perpetual Endowment is an everlasting memorial or honorarium which earns interest annually. Endowment status is attained when a minimum of $5000 is on deposit with the ESA Foundation by May 31 of any given year. The donation is placed in a trust account which earns interest. A scholarship is awarded from donations and the interest earned, at the ESA Foundation Annual Meeting in July. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP A minimum of $5000 must be on deposit and the donations and/or accrued interest equal at least $500 by May 31 of any given year before a scholarship can be awarded. Should the accrued interest and donations be less than $500, the endower has the option to make up the difference, or pass on awarding the scholarship. BEGINNING AN ENDOWMENT The ESA Foundation Scholarship Director may be contacted to request the necessary agreement forms to begin an endowment. FUNDING: A minimum of $100 is required to establish an endowment. The Fund will be established and the Endowment's name will be placed on the contribution form to receive donations.
